A Gelatin salad is a salad that is made up with
sweetened prepared mixes with artificial color
and flavor.
Although, some professional cooks use
unflavored gelatin relying on fruit juices and
other ingredients for flavor.

SALAD
• to create an appetizing gelatin salad, there are
guidelines we must follow.
• One of the few steps are that the gelatin and liquid
should have a good proportion for the reason that
too much gelatin will make it stiff. While, too
little gelatin will not form once unmold.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN MAKING
A GELATIN SALAD
• Avoid adding raw pineapple and papaya because it contains
enzyme that could liquefy or dissolve the gelatin.
• When canned fruits are included, we must drain it well because
too much water can break down the gelatin.
• When adding solid ingredients, we must do it when the gelatin is
partially set or molded.
• We must remember to refrigerate the gelatin salad until service
time.
