Files and folders
1. Files:
A file is a collection of a related information
In computer a file can hold information such as an
images, program files, text, music etc.
2. Each file is given a name. it is known as file name
3. Every file has two names:-
i. Primary name
ii. Secondary name
4. Primary name is the first name of a file ,
it can be any name given by the user
5. Secondary name is the extension of the
file like .docx, .bmp, .xlsx etc. secondary
name is assigned by the program used to
create a file
Folders
1. Folders are used to classify files in a
computer.
A collection of related files can be grouped in a
common folder
A folder can contains files as well as other
folders
Folders are also known as directories
Windows Explorer
Windows explorer manages and
organizes files and folders
Windows explorer helps us to delete,
