Topic : Alumium alloy 6061
6061 (Unified Numbering System (UNS)
designation A96061) is a
precipitation-hardened aluminium alloy,
containing magnesium and silicon as its major
alloying elements.
Originally called "Alloy 61S", it was
developed in 1935. It has good mechanical
properties, exhibits good weldability, and is
very commonly extruded (second in popularity
only to 6063).
It is one of the most common alloys of
aluminum for general-purpose use.
It is commonly available in pre-tempered
grades such as 6061-O (annealed), tempered
grades such as 6061-T6 (solutionized and
artificially aged) and 6061-T651 (solutionized,
stress-relieved stretched and artificially aged).

COUNTRY STANDARD
Aluminum alloy 6061 is one of the most extensively used of the 6000
series aluminum alloys.
It is a versatile heat treatable extruded alloy with medium to high
strength capabilities
6061 Aluminum
6061 Aluminum plate is a precipitation-hardened aluminum alloy containing magnesium and silicon as its
major alloying elements.
6061 aluminum plate is one of the most versatile of the heat-treatable alloys.
6061 is popular for its medium to high strength requirements, good toughness and excellent corrosion
resistance.

Step 1: Import raw materials
Raw materials must ensure pure
aluminum bars. Make sure the molding
process is convenient. Good heat
resistance, ensuring standard
specifications.
Step 2: Design aluminum profile drawings
Drawings of aluminum bars must meet the
standards of quality, materials, safety, and
ensure the nature of use.
Step 3: Aluminum extrusion
• First, we proceed to cast pure billet at a
temperature of about 660 degrees
Celsius, then the alloying process, and
after this process will decide the type of
aluminum casting,
• Products are melted aluminum alloy,
liquid is poured into the mold to form t-
shaped aluminum and this process will
produce different diameter products as
required, after-cast aluminum is
homogenous to create uniformity of the
alloy and stability of the structure.
Step 4: Hardness treatment of aluminum bars
• After being pressed, aluminum bars will
undergo a hardening process. Depending on
the requirements of each product line, the
degree of hardness of each industrial
aluminum profile door is different.
Step 5: Surface treatment
• Aluminum bars that meet the standards in
terms of size, composition, and hardness will
be surface treated. By creating a layer of
electrostatic paint. Then it is put into the
paint tank to proceed to the dyeing step.
When aluminum is treated, the surface must
be guaranteed: the paint layer is smooth, not
peeled, the color of the aluminum is true to
the original design.
Application Aluminium
alloy 6061
- Type 6061 aluminum is one of the most widely used aluminum alloys.
- Its weld-ability and formability make it suitable for many general-purpose applications.
- Its high strength and corrosion resistance lend type 6061 alloy particularly useful in architectural,
structural, and vehicle applications
2024 alloy aluminium and 6061 alloy
aluminium in application
Alloys 6061 and 2024 are among the most popular for
many different industries. And while they both exhibit
many of the characteristics that have made aluminum
such a sought-after material for the past century, offering
light weight, high strength, and good corrosion resistance,
they each have their own unique properties.
Widely used in vehicles in contact with water
The use of 6061 aluminum in the manufacture of
yacht hulls is very essential, with extremely strong
corrosion resistance even when the surface of the
ship is scratched, which greatly reduces the risk of
shipwreck.
