The simplest way to explain the Four

Spiritual Laws is to read the booklet
aloud exactly as written
Never force anyone to receive Christ.

Remember that most questions are

answered as you read through the 4SL.
When questions are asked that would
change the subject, you can say,
“That is a good question. Let’s finish this
booklet and then we will discuss it”.
If his question is not answered by the
time you finish the 4SL, answer it then

Depend on the Holy Spirit, not yourself.

Remember, it is the Holy Spirit who
convinces a person to receive Christ.
Be aware of your listener. If there
seems to be no response, stop and
ask,
“Is this making sense?”

If you are witnessing to a group, give

each person a Four Spiritual Laws
booklet. Pray with those who are
interested in receiving Christ. If only one
is interested, find a way to talk alone.

Be sure people understand that Christ

comes into their lives and forgives their
sins THROUGH FAITH. If they merely
say the prayer in the Four Spiritual Laws
without believing this, they haven't
experienced true saving faith.

Be sensitive to the person who wants to
pray the prayer silently. Some will feel
embarrassed about praying out loud.

If someone has already heard the 4SL, ask

the person's opinion of the booklet. If they
do not seem to understand the gospel,
present the 4SL again. Do not be afraid to
present the booklet more than once to the
same person.

When a person does not receive Christ

during your first time together, be
available to talk at a later time.
Make another appointment if there is
interest; give a "JESUS and the
Intellectual", "How to Be Sure You're a
Christian," or a Gospel of John.

Pray for the person. When you meet

again, ask if he or she has thought
more about
your discussion or has any questions.
