• The Second Congressional Commission on Education
(EDCOM II) is the current committee on education of
the Philippines. It was created by Republic Act 11899,
which was passed into law in July 2022. The
commission is tasked to conduct a comprehensive
national assessment and evaluation of the
performance of the Philippine education sector,
and to recommend transformative, concrete, and
targeted reforms in the sector.
