Interior and Exterior Angles of A Polygon: Grade 7 Mathematics

Here are the solutions: 1. The sum of the exterior angles of a convex triangle is 360° since the interior angles sum to 180°. 2. If each interior angle is 150°, then (n-2)180 = n*150. So n=12. The polygon has 12 sides. 3. The sum of the exterior angles of a 300-gon is 360° since the interior angles sum to (n-2)180 = 300*180=54000. 4. If each exterior angle is 30°, then (n-2)180/n = 30. So n=12. The polygon has 12 sides.

Angle of a regular convex polygon
INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR ANGLES OF A POLYGON

Example: The measure of the exterior angles of a convex

quadrilateral, one at each vertex are 6x, 4x – 10, 4x + 10,
Solution:
and 2x + 40. Find the measure of each exterior angle.
Solve for x
6x + 4x – 10 + 4x + 10 + 2x + 40 = 360
16x = 360 + 10 – 10 – 40 2x + 40
16x = 320
x = 20 4x + 10

Substitute the value of x:

6(20) =
4(20) – 10 =
4(20) + 10 = 6x
2(20) + 40 = 4x - 10
