What is Internship ?
An internship is a short-term work opportunity
that allows individuals, typically students or
recent graduates, to gain hands-on experience in
a particular field. It offers a chance to apply
academic knowledge to real-world situations,
develop skills, and explore career paths.
Assist the student develop written communication skills.
The Internship Report serves multiple purposes:
Serve as an archival record of the internship experience.
Give the student an opportunity to reflect on the professional aspects of the
internship knowledge and the skills that were educated.
Have the student to reflect on the initial goals of the internship and how they were
(or were not) achieved during the internship.
Guidelines for Internship:

EXECUTIVE REPORT
1) An executive summary is a brief section at the
beginning of a, that summarizes the document.
2) Briefly, what is this about?
3) Why is it important? [or] Why was it
undertaken?
4) What are the major findings or results?
Chapter 1: Introduction of the Report
The introduction should include a description of
the internship site and the scope of the work
completed during the internship. It may include
background information necessary to understand
the work completed during the internship.
Chapter 2: Overview of the Organization
This chapter covers the most relevant information about
the Main organization, with special focus on the
branch/office of work
Brief overview
Major activities, products, hierarchy, organization Study
Chapter 3: Key Learnings/ Learning Outcomes
This is an important part of your report. Your
activities during the period of internship. Your job
responsibility, in how many departments you were
placed, what have you learned in those
departments etc
Following questions might be considered in this chapter
In which department of the company were you assigned?
What responsibilities were given to you?
What have you achieved during the internship?
What new ideas, concepts, approaches etc. did you learn
during the internship?
What was your interpersonal, leadership, teambuilding,
project management, time management experience which
you acquired during the internship
Chapter 4: Analyses
Financial Analyses (Ratio, Index, Common size, Trend)
SWOT analysis
Chapter 5: Recommendations and Conclusions
Based on Strategies developed in SWOT
Should not be Unclear, Abstract, Idealistic
Should be Exact, Real, Hands-on experience
Evaluation of the Report
After the successful submission of the report by students, concerned
Colleges shall evaluate the whole internship for 100 marks as per the
Evaluation Format.
The following is the break up used for evaluation of Internship.
Internship Report 60 Marks
Viva-voce 40 Marks
Total 100 Marks
