To make plural nouns by adding “ es “

Singular Noun = shelf

Plural Noun = shelves
If a noun ends in “fe” or ‘f’ change the ending to ‘ves’
(exception: beliefs, chiefs, roofs, cuffs)
Knife = Knives
Thief = Thieves
Yourself = yourselves
I need three tomatoes
If a noun ends in “ o “ will be ‘oes’ or ‘os’
Zoo = zoos
Zero = zeros
Radio = radios
Piano = pianos
