Access StoreLine Office via the following path:

Start\Programs\StoreLine\Office or create a shortcut on the desktop

Icons within a menu: Navigating using the keyboard

Exit to the menu (ALT + X)


 Use the Esc key to exit from the
application

Print a Report (ALT + R)  Use the UP and Down arrows on the


keyboard to scroll up and down the Main
Menu.
Create a New Item (ALT + N)
 Press Enter to select a folder. The menu
options within each folder are displayed

To Edit or Update an Item (ALT + E) on the right side of the screen


 To select the Go To field from the
keyboard, press Alt + G
To Delete an Item (ALT + D)
 To move from one field to another in a
dialog, press the Tab key. The field is

The Electronic Journal is a query tool that enables the user
searching for, and display transactions from the POS Terminals

 EJ automatically records all transactions and


fund movement
..
 Any activity performed is recorded, whether it’s
funds added or removed from the POS, refunds,
or a simple transaction
 The Electronic Journal is viewed from. the Front
Office. Easy access and quick exiting abilities
 Whilst searching the EJ, the POS terminals may
continue with their activities without any
interference.
 Transactions are continuously recorded

 Each day’s activities are saved by the


EJ
 The first file at the top of the list is the
current days transactions displayed in
the EJ as TRANSACT.QDX
 During End Of Day process, the
TRANSACT.QDX file is zipped and
named with the current date by the
transaction file

Set the relevant General System Parameters

The relevant parameters are:


No. of History days for EJ
EJ Header Text
Set Printer for EJ
Font Size for EJ Printer

The EJ menu bar

 Alt-X Exits the user from the EJ and returns back to the menu
 Alt-Z Opens any selected transaction ticket for viewing. Within
Zoom users can print the ticket or view the transaction file
 Alt-R Enables the user to define the sorting of the EJ transaction
tickets within the grid. This does not become the new default
 Alt-P Prints the selected transaction ticket
 The Search By editor appears allowing the process of Sub sorts
based upon the previous selection.
 Last - When doing a series of searches, selecting the Last button
will take the user to the results of the last screen

A Singular Search
There are a number of search options:
A drill down process takes the user to the transaction required.
Select a file from the list of transaction files, on which a search
will be performed.

The Search type dialog opens


displaying the 59 search options.
Select a search option from the
list, for example, perform a
search on a specific pos number,
therefore, select POS Number.

The POS Number dialog


opens, enabling the user to
start filtering to the level
required.

from selecting the ‘POS Number’ search type

All Transactions made from


the POS Numbers 0-239 are
displayed.

Selecting a transaction from the list of


transactions displayed, enables the user to drill
down further, and continue searching until the
specific data required is reached

option, which includes
another list providing 17
specific options

Each time the Search


editor is used, the search
result becomes the basis
of the new search. This
enables the filtering down
to find the required
information

Search Results

A transaction or event can be


viewed as it appears on the
EJ, by highlighting the
specific transaction and
selecting Zoom In. The
transaction or event
information displays on the
screen, in the original format

Transactions can be printed

Reports
Reports in the system:

 All reports are generated from the


StoreLine SQL database
 Reports can be viewed, printed, or saved
to a file
 When requesting for a report, the system
prompts for report criteria, usually this is
only a range of dates, but some offer
additional criteria, like item selection
 Reports may be scheduled to be
generated on a regular basis
 Build reports according to your Store
requirements
 Preview or Print previous history reports
