UPG, the leading paint manufacturer in Myanmar, was born out of the market in
and creatively founded the company to develop full-scale paint industry in Myanmar.
The initial key purposes of the company were to satisfy the growing demand of 1990s
construction boom and to become one of the key contributors to the import substitution
economy of Myanmar. The founding members named the company as United Paints
organization.
