 Introduction to UPG

UPG, the leading paint manufacturer in Myanmar, was born out of the market in

1995. Since necessity creates innovation, a group of united entrepreneurs collectively

and creatively founded the company to develop full-scale paint industry in Myanmar.

The initial key purposes of the company were to satisfy the growing demand of 1990s

construction boom and to become one of the key contributors to the import substitution

economy of Myanmar. The founding members named the company as United Paints

Group Co., Ltd.

OVERVIEW OF IT
DEPARTMENT

The IT department plays a central role in leveraging SAP to

streamline and enhance various business processes. Through

the integration of SAP, our IT professionals empowers to

proactively address challenges, foster data-driven decision-

making, and contribute to the overall success of our

organization.

Types of Networks: LAN, WAN

OSI Model: Seven Layers: Physical, Data Link, Network, Transport, Session, Presentation, Application.

TCP/IP Protocol Suite: Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol

IP Addresses: IPv4, IPv6

Subnetting: Dividing an IP network into sub-networks for better management.

Routers and Switches: Connects different networks, based on IP addresses, connects devices within the same network, based on MAC addresses.
