WORKING
(a) MOTOR:
• Converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
• Motor have two main components- Stator and Rotor.
• 12 V DC motor is used in the project.
(b) PCB:
• PCB stands for Printed Circuit Board.
• Made of non-conductive material (usually fiberglass).
(c) LED:
• LED stands for Light Emitting Diode.
• It's a semiconductor device that emits light when an
electric current passes through it.
(d) Diode :
• Used to protect circuits by limiting the voltage and to also
transform AC into DC.
• Made of semiconductors like silicon and germanium are used.
• 1N4007 diode is used in the circuit.
(e) Integrated Circuit:
• An integrated circuit (IC) is a miniature electronic circuit
consisting of various electronic components, such as transistors,
diodes, and resistors, fabricated on a single piece of
semiconductor material, usually silicon.
• LM317 voltage regulator IC is used in the charger circuit.
(f) Capacitor:
• A capacitor is a circuit component the temporarily stores
electrical energy.
• A capacitor can take a shorter time than a battery to charge up
and it can release all the energy very quickly.
• A non-polarized capacitor of 0.1µF is used in the charger circuit.
(g) Preset Potentiometer :
• A potentiometer is a variable resistor that allows for precise
control over the resistance in an electrical circuit.
• A 10 KΩ Preset Potentiometer is used in the charger circuit.
(h) Battery:
• An electrical battery is a source of one or more
electro-chemical cells with external connections for
powering electrical devices.
• A 9V DC battery is used in the project.
(j) LDR:
• Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs) changes their resistance
based on the amount of light falling on them.
• Also known as photo resistors .
• When exposed to light, the resistance of an LDR
decreases, and when in darkness, the resistance increases.
(k) Transistors:
• Transistors are semiconductor devices that play a crucial role in
modern electronics.
• They can amplify or switch electronic signals and are
fundamental building blocks in devices like computers,
Smartphone's, and amplifiers.
• A BC547 Transistor is used in the automatic street light control
circuit.
(l) Battery connector:
• A battery connector is a device or mechanism used to connect
an electrical circuit to a battery, allowing for the transfer of
electrical energy between the battery and the circuit.
(m) Conducting Wire:
• A conducting wire is a material, typically metal or a metal
alloy, that has low resistance to the flow of electric current.
• These wires are used extensively in electrical and electronic
circuits to transmit electricity from one point to another.
(n) Resistor:
• A resistor limits the flow of electrical current.
• Resistors of 220 Ω,1K Ω, 100K Ω & 330 Ω are used
in the circuits.
