Element Control
Part 1 Introduction
Part 2 Interfaces
Part 3 Protections
Part 4 Monitor Software
Control of an element
- 32 Kb EPROM memory for application programs
- 8 Kb RAM memory for variables and tables
- 512 byte EEPROM memory
- Asynchronous series channel (SCI)
- 4 16 bit timers
- Watch-dog J2 Connection Microprocessor
Connection for
local maintenance
Communications
- RS-232 signals, including the modem control signals
- 2 channels for communications with the higher levels
- 2 for communications with lower levels
- Asynchronous series channel by means of RS-232 signals, for local maintenance
- The protocol used is slave IEC 870-101
Power supply
- +48 V, +20/-10% (Versions in 24 VCC and 12 VCC)
- Maximum consumption is 5 W
Configurators
- Sw1: Operating mode of digital inputs
- Sw2: Address to RTU Saitel-100

Transmission
Command in progress Local maintenance terminal
Local/remote control
- Two pins cut off the power supply of the output relays, such that
they enable the Local (LT1-LT2 open) and Remote Control functions
(LT1-LT2 closed)
- Signalling of the switch status, which is available for
the higher levels in the internal status "Local/Remote Control“
Watchdog externo
- Voltage Watchdog: Below 4.75 VCC there is continuous reset
until 5 VCC are reached
- Processor watchdog. Forces the application program to access
a certain address in a certain amount of time, (very tight, 20 ms)
Controlled addressing
The addressing to the digital output log is only enabled if in addition
another signal from another output gate of the microprocessor is activated
Control of relays
- Permit signal to enable orders
- Anomaly signal to disable the commands in the event of a failure
Restricted access
The access to the digital output log is restricted by means of a key
No simultaneousness
The PAL circuit monitors that the command to be executed is the only one
Software Monitor
- Access through hyperterminal session
- See configuration: Supervision of the configuration
- Definition of link: Communications
- Real time: Supervision of the status of the signals
- Auxiliary functions: Reading and writing in memory
