mapping, is a strategy that allows you to
explore the relationships between ideas

What is Freewriting? Writing
Freewriting (also written as "free writing") is a
writing technique that can help generate new ideas.
Freewriting involves writing non-stop for a
continuous period of time and forgoing grammatical
concerns. It does not follow a structure or require a
specific form or style. Also referred to as a stream of
consciousness method, freewriting encourages the act
of bouncing between ideas and following thoughts,
even if they are not connected. It is often used during
the pre-writing phase, as people find it to be a useful
brainstorming technique.
