2. describe the basic commands of
AutoCAD;

Directions: Read each item carefully
and FILL IN the blank with the correct
answer.POLYGON

equilateral closed polyline from 3
sides up to
POLYLINE 1024 sides.
2. A __________ is a connected series of
segments created as a single object
3. A POLYGON command requires
four inputs from the user, the
side
number of ______, a center point,

TOPIC: BASIC DRAWING TOOLS_2
In AutoCAD every time you create a
project, you always start with the draw
commands as the foundation of your
drawing.
Another Draw commands used in
creating objects are donut, ellipse,
arcs and circle.

DRAW COMMANDS
5. DONUT
Creates a filled circle or an
object like a wide ring.
It is consisting of two arc
polyline segments that are
joined end to end to create
a circular shape.
DRAW COMMANDS
Command: DONUT or DO [enter]
Specify inside diameter of donut
<0.5000>: (or enter desired inside
diameter of Donut)
Specify outside diameter of donut
<1.0000>: (or enter desired outside
diameter of Donut)
Specify center of donut or <exit>:
(pick P1)
Specify center of donut or <exit>:

6. CIRCLE
This command is used to
draw a circle using a center
point and a radius.
The common method is by
picking the center point and
then pick another point to
define OR enter the radius.
DRAW COMMANDS
Command:
CIRCLE or C [enter]
Specify center point for
circle or [3P/2P/Ttr (tan
tan radius)]: (pick P1)
Specify radius of circle or
[Diameter]: (pick P2 or
enter the desired radius)

7. ARC
The Arc command is used to
draw arcs.
There are different ways to
create an arc, the default
and most common method is
by picking three points - a
start point, a second point
and an end point.
DRAW COMMANDS
Command: ARC or A [enter]
Specify start point of arc or
[Center]: (pick P1)
Specify second point of arc
or [Center/End]: (pick P2)
Specify end point of arc:
(pick P3)
Note: It is also possible to
create an arc by trimming a

8. ELLIPSE
The Ellipse command gives
you an oval-like shape object
using different options.
One option is by specifying
the center point, the
endpoint of the first axis,
and the length of the second
axis.
DRAW COMMANDS
Command: ELLIPSE or EL
