F & G and ESD Interface

• The F&G system is used to initiate

alarm, initiate protective actions,
shutdown equipment and alert
personnel.
• The F&G system processes input
signals from the field mounted
detectors, addressable detectors and
manual call points.
• The F&G System is controlled and
monitored from the Operator
Stations in (CCR).

 If the two RCU have different alarm or module status, a redundancy deviation
alarm will be activated.
 If one of the two elements fails (RCU or IO card), the element is isolated, and
the other element will keep control.
 If both elements fail (RCU or IO card), then the output will go to the failsafe
state.
