To determine the payback period for your 200KW -peak solar


system installed at a cost of 1 crore
BDT (Bangladeshi Taka), we need to calculate the annual
revenue generated from the system
and then use that to determine how many years it will take
to recoup the initial investment.

1. Steps to Calculate Payback Period:


200KW Solar maximum output per hours 160kw ( 20%
losses)

Assume an average of 4.5 peak sun hours per day (as


previously estimated for Bangladesh).
- Daily energy production = 160kw × 4.5 hours =
720kw/day.

Daily Electricity Bill save 720 Unit × 11tk = 7920 tk/day.

3. Calculate Monthly Energy Production:

- Monthly energy production = 720kw/day × 30 days = 21600 kWh/Month

Electricity Bill save per month 21600 Unit × 11tk = 237600 tk/Month.

4. Calculate Annual Energy Production:

- Annual energy production = 21600 kWh/Month × 12 Months=


259200kWh/year.

Calculate Annual Revenue:

- Revenue per unit (kWh) = 11 BDT.

- Annual Electricity Bill save = 259200 Unit × 11BDT/kWh =

5.Determine Payback Period:

- Initial investment = 1 crore BDT = 10000000 BDT.


- Payback period = Initial investment / Annual revenue.
- Payback period = 10,000,000 BDT /2851200 BDT/year ≈ 3.51
years

give exact calculations, we can only give an idea.
