ETHICS
Ethics are set of moral principles that
govern the behavior of a group or
individual

.
COMPUTER ETHICS
Computer ethics can be defined as
the set of moral principles that regulate
the use of computers.
GROUP TASK
In a group of two search and
discuss one rule that must be
adhered to strictly in other to
responsibly use computer
RESPONSIBLE USE OF COMPUTER
These are precautionary ways of using computers to obtain
maximum performance from them and to prevent them
from been damaged. Therefore the following are rules
should be adhered to ;
i. Avoid liquid from coming in contact with the computer
system.
ii. Cover the computer system with transparent covers when
not in use to prevent dust from entering into them.
iii. Food particles should not be allowed to penetrated the
keyboard
iv. The UPS (uninterruptible Power Supply) should be
changed overnight for maximum performance. All computer
should be connected to properly charged UPS system to
prevent them from damages caused due to power surge or
failure
RESPONSIBLE USE OF COMPUTER
v. Unplug the computer system from power
source and all electrical gadgets before leaving
the office at the end of the day.
vi. Provision of air conditioners and fans or
other cooling machines.
vii. Adequate care must be taken to storage
devices like diskettes, flash drive, CD/DVD
writer drive, etc.
viii. Disallow an unauthorized user from having
access to your computer.

responsibly
ii. Outline the areas of misuse
computer and internet
iii. Discuss the areas of misuse
computer and internet
RESPONSIBLE USE OF INTERNET
i. Be mindful of your words and write responsibly because the
content of your message may be received by another person
ii. Always endeavour to check your e-mail account regularly
iii. Always spell check your messages before they are sent.
iv. The subject of e-mail should be short, meaningful and
descriptive
v. While chatting, be mindful of how you exchange
information about yourself
vi. Be mindful of the website you will visit because some are
dubious while others can infect your computer with virus.
vii. Install anti-virus in your computer and avoid file
attachment from unknown sources to prevent virus attack
