* Introduction:
The Kerala Public Works Department (PWD) invites online bids for the construction of a new bridge at
the Chooralmala landslide area in Wayanad district. The old bridge was destroyed in a recent landslide
event and needs to be replaced immediately.
* Project Details:
* Project Name: Construction of New Bridge at Chooralmala Landslide Area
* Location: Wayanad District, Kerala
* Estimated Cost of Work: INR 50,000,000 (Rupees Fifty Million Only)
* Bridge Length: 80 meters
* Type of Bridge: Reinforced Concrete (RC) Slab Bridge
* Eligibility:
* Registered bidders of Kerala PWD or any State/Central Government Engineering Departments
with similar functionalities.
* Proven experience in bridge construction projects of similar scale and complexity.
* Must meet all financial and technical qualifications as specified in the tender document.
* Tender Documents:
Bid documents including Bill of Quantities (BoQ) can be downloaded free of cost from the e-Government
Procurement (e-GP) Website: www.etenders.kerala.gov.in
* Submission of Bids:
* All bids must be submitted MANUALLY
* Bid submission fee (Tender fee): INR 2,000 (Rupees Two Thousand Only)
* Earnest Money Deposit (EMD): INR 500,000 (Rupees Five Lakh Only)
* Important Dates:
* Last date and time for submission of bids: 01/10/2024 upto 14:00 hours
* Date and time of opening of tenders: 01/10/2024 at 14:30 hours
* Bid Opening:
The bids shall be opened at the office of the Executive Engineer, Wayanad Division in the presence of attending
bidders/authorized representatives.
* Guidelines for Bidders:
* Bidders must carefully study the tender documents and submit complete bids as per the specified
requirements.
* Any discrepancies or ambiguities in the bid documents should be brought to the attention of the Tender
Inviting Authority in writing before the bid submission deadline.
* Bids received after the specified deadline will not be accepted.
* Bidders are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their bids.
* Security Deposit and EMD:
* A security deposit of 5% of the contract value shall be deposited by the successful bidder within 15 days of the award
of the contract.
* The EMD of the successful bidder will be retained as part of the security deposit.
* The security deposit will be refunded upon satisfactory completion of the contract.
* Validity of Tenders:
* Tenders shall remain valid for a period of 90 days from the date of opening of tenders.
* Acceptance or Rejection of Bids:
* The Tender Inviting Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning any reason.
* Acceptance of the lowest rate is not binding on the Tender Inviting Authority.
* The Tender Inviting Authority may accept any part or whole of a tender.
* Rejection of Bids:
* Bids that are incomplete, ambiguous, or do not conform to the tender requirements may be rejected.
* Bids from bidders who have been debarred or blacklisted by the Kerala PWD or any other government agency may
be rejected.
* Bids that are received after the specified deadline or are not digitally signed may be rejected.
* Taxes:
* All applicable taxes, including sales tax, GST, and income tax, shall be borne by the contractor.
