DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING FOR MORTAR AND PESTLE
MACHINE
Presented By:
Mortar and pestle usage dates back to ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt.
Initially made of stone, wood, or metal
Over time, design and materials evolved, adapting to technological advancements.
Mortar and pestle machines are now utilized in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, food
processing, and chemistry.
Despite modernization, traditional mortar and pestle remain in use, valued for their simplicity and
effectiveness in grinding and mixing.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
There are many mortar and pestle grinding machines in market but they are
useful only for big scale production.
Portable mortar & pestle grinding machines available market are not cost
efficient and thus cannot be used for small scale production.
Extra operator is needed for observing the missing and fineness of the
powder.
To ensure consistent particle size and texture in the ground material for reliable
results.
Operation : -The substance to be ground is placed in the mortar, and the pestle
is reciprocated at given speed to crush and grind it into a fine powder or paste.

WORKING OF PROTOTYPE
ADVANTAGES
Efficient : - The machine delivers consistent and high-quality results, even when
handling large quantities of materials.
Accurate : - The machine grinds materials to a precise size and shape, ensuring that
they meet specific requirements.
