GANTT CHART/TIME CHART
A Gantt chart is a type of bar chart that represents a project schedule over time. It
is used to visualize the timeline of tasks or activities that are part of a project,
showing their start and end dates, as well as the relationships between tasks.
Here are the key features of a Gantt chart
Time Axis: The horizontal axis represents time, usually broken down into days,
weeks, or months.
Task List: The vertical axis lists all the tasks or activities involved in the project
Bars: Each task is represented by a bar, where the length of the bar indicates
the duration of the task. The position of the bar on the time axis shows the start
and end dates.
Dependencies: Arrows or lines between tasks can show the relationships or
dependencies between them (e.g., Task B cannot start until Task A is finished).
GANTT CHART/TIME CHART
Gantt charts are useful for:
Project planning: They help to plan the start and end dates for
tasks.
Tracking progress: As tasks are completed, the bars are updated to
show current progress.
Managing resources: They help in allocating resources and
ensuring no task overlaps or conflicts.
