How to
ORGANIZE A COOPERATIVE
First
Contact
Community organizers, particularly
cooperative organizers, play a crucial role in
initiating and forming cooperatives. They
assess the socio-economic conditions of the
community, identify its needs, determine
existing facilities and necessary
improvements, and gather information on the
population, households, education levels, and
livelihoods to assess the cooperative's
feasibility.

The second organizational meeting should

both new and returning attendees, as not all
participants may have been present at the
first meeting. Additionally, the meeting will
serve as a plenary session to discuss the
economic survey, as well as approve the
articles of cooperation and by-laws
