 Sharks are large sea animals.
 They can swim fast.
 They have sharp teeth and
big jaws.
 Some sharks can reach over
20 meters in length.
 They eat fish, sea lions and
seals.  What is it doing?
 It’s smiling.
Sea otter • Is it a bear?
• No, it isn’t.
• It’s a sea otter.
• Sea otters are mammals.
• They eat sea urchins, crabs,
snails and worms.
• They are the smallest marine
mammal in the world.
Squid
 What is this?
 This is a squid.
 They hunt mostly at night.
 They eat fish and shrimps.
 Squid can change colour.
 They can swim backward too.
Jellyfish
• What is it?
• It’s a jellyfish.
• Jellyfish live in oceans around
the world.
• They look a little like umbrellas.
• Some can be very hard to see.
• Some jellyfish are dangerous.

• Eels are sea animals that look like snakes.
• They have long and narrow bodies.
• Most eels live in the oceans.
• Some eels live in fresh water.
• Eels hide in mud or among rocks during the day.
• They hunt food at night.
• Eels eat shrimps, mussels, worms and snails.

have bones.

and other sea creatures.

water.
 They must come to the surface
of the water to get some air.
 They make sounds to talk to
each other.

 Flippers help seals to swim.
