INTRODUCTION
• GRASIM INDUSTRIES LTD. (Chemical Division), Rehla, Jharkhand was registered in 2016 which
deals with the manufacturing and distribution of caustic soda, chlorine, hydrogen, hydro chlorine,
sodium hydro chloride, aluminium chloride, liquid chlorine and bleaching powder.
• The plant is spread over a periphery of 6 km.
• Everyday many staff, visitors, vehicles and material comes inside the premises.
• Few buildings in the Plant are under construction.
• Number of security personnel's deployed – 64 Security Personnel :

Inspectors - 3
Patrolling - 3
Security guards - 51

LAYOUT OF PREMISES
THREAT ANALYSIS
• Scrap material spread all over the scrapyard.
• Lighting inside the premises and at the boundary wall covering some area outside
the boundary wall.
• Naxalite attack – as this region is prone to naxals, so proper measures must be
taken keeping naxal attack in mind.
• Theft by labour as the construction is under process.
• Pilferage by the staff members of the plant.
Measures to Counter Threats :
• Security patrolling and surveillance needs to be effective.
• Proper monitoring of CCTV’s.
• Reinforcement of boundary wall and fencing where ever they are found damaged.
• Thorough checking and frisking at the entry and exit gates.
• Proper lighting around periphery and inside the premises.
• Proper loading & unloading of dangerous chemicals which are being handled in
the premises.
• If any leakage in the gas cylinder is found by any personnel present in the premises
then it must be informed to the security personnel/control room/company’s
management immediately.
SAFETY & PRECAUTIONS
Adequate safety arrangement at all factories present inside the premises must be there.
• It is compulsory for 2-wheeler driver to wear helmet and seat belt for 4-wheeler driver.
• Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the premises.
• Depositing cigarette, lighter, match box at the main gate is mandatory.
• Do not touch power equipment's or any loose wiring.
• If any accident occurs inside the premises such as intake of chlorine gas, don’t panic,
medicines from the FIRST AID BOX must be provided to the victim and necessary
actions must be taken.

General instructions :
• All security personnel must be in proper turnout and must report their post 15 min before the duty starts.
• Proper hand over and take over must be done by all security personnel at all the security post in the assignment.
• Important contacts must be available at all the posts in the premises.
• All security personnel must be alert and attentive during the duty hours.
• If any security personnel is found sleeping than for that particular day salary would be deducted.
• Incase of any emergency, all security personnel will contact the control room.
• Behaviour of all security personnel must be very humble and polite with the visitors and staff members.
• Proper surveillance of the premises through CCTV must be done.
• If the main gate is blocked due to some circumstances, in that case all the staffs and employees will exit through back
gate.
• In case of any emergency, everyone will gather at the assembly area.
• Safety precaution must be taken by wearing safety kit (PPE- Personal Protection Equipments) where ever necessary.
• The people moving inside the plant area must wear the safety boot and helmet.
• Road safety rules must be followed.
• If anyone is found using mobile phone he will be fined and strict action will be taken.
• For visitor, security personnel, staff and labour, helmet of different colour i.e. blue, red, yellow and white respectively
is available at the main gate post for differentiating the type of people moving inside the premises.
Aim :
To ensure proper guarding, loss prevention & prevention from any kind of accident in
the assignment.
Scope of SOP :
All guards would work under the supervision of the Security Officer and Security
Officer of the client.
Security Operations :
All guards must be rotated at all the posts available at the premises.
All guards must be familiar with all the duty posts.

Security Supervisor :
• Inspector will assign the duties of the guards.
• Attendance will be taken by the Inspector.
• Check the registers maintained by the guards on the respective posts.
Emergency Case
• Incase of any emergency all guards will inform the details to the Inspector and he
will report to Security Officer and Client Security Officer.
• Reporting is an important task of all guards, as accurate reporting with proper
information will help the management to plan and improve the strategy to fight
emergency.

Proposed Security Deployment :
• The security deployed was covering all the aspects of security and our
group found it suitable for the client.
• So, our group will recommend similar security deployment as already
deployed.
CONCLUSION :
• This presentation give us an idea of the present security deployment in
the GRASIM INDUSTRIES LTD. (Chemical Division), Rehla,
Jharkhand.
• There are very less, in fact no loopholes in security deployment at the
premises, so our group have recommended similar security
deployment as already deployed.
