offer.The campus provides excellent infrastructure ,highly qualified
team of medical professionals and advanced software system ideal
for patients for all walk of life It provides various .healthcare
services such as neurology, liver transplant, urology, orthopedics,
transplant sciences, clinical psychology,psychiatry etc. The main
vision of the hospital is to provide a reliable healthcare delivery
platform with their ‘patient first approach’ by making expert
healthcare accessible for all.It focuses on
values ,ethics ,accountability,strive for clinical excellence and
Continuous skill upgradation of caregivers.

SCOPE
HE Department of Clinical Psychology offers the best preventive and
medical care through counselling, solutions to match the needs of
patients and innovative methods to relieve distress, thus promoting
the overall personal development of an individual.Marengo Asia
Hospital use therapeutic approaches to tackle mental health
conditions such as mood disorders,Anxiety Disorders,Substance Use
Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive and Related
Disorders ,Neurodevelopmental Disorders, sleep disorders ,eating
disorders etc. for these issues the healthcare centre provides
various services such as Counselling and Medication for Depression
and Anxiety,psychometric testing for ADHD, Autism spectrum
disorder, Social maturity testing, and specific learning disorder (SLD)
and Rehabilitation for Addictions and cognitive behavioural therapy
to treat children, teenagers, and adults for behavioural disorders.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
1. Communication- through my internship I polished my verbal and non-verbal communication skills which is
effective for client interaction.This was achieved through professional reports, case notes, and treatment plans.
2.Theoretical Application-Translating psychological theories (e.g., psychodynamic, behavioral, humanistic) into
practice while treating client during counseling paved way for enhancing the usage of theories in practical
knowledge
3.Self-Awareness and Personal Growth - by Identifying strengths and areas for improvement through supervision

effectively and maintaining all rules and regulations of the centre.

verbal/non-verbal responses with oneself.

projects with the help of qualitative and quantitative measures.

fellow interns and :forming a good interpersonal relationships.

WORK EXPERIENCE
LThrough my internship experience at Marengo Asia Hospital, I got
clinical exposure through interacting with various clients with
different clinical disorders.Through engaging in a workplace setting
I developed skills such as flexibility , adaptability , time
management , discipline and confidentiality.It also helped me in
improving my ability to empathize, developing patience and good
interpersonal relationship, overall improving my communication
and counselling skills.I also learned about different psychological
tests such as MISIC, DBDA, and Binet -Simon Scale and how they
were used and interpreted during testing .I also gained knowledge
about different techniques and approaches used to treat different
disorders.
