Rules of Prepositions
Rule No-1: If there is a verb after a preposition, ‘ing’ form of verb is used.

E.g. I am tired of working late night.


He earned respect by helping everyone.

Rule No-2: Beside means by the side of while besides means in addition to.

E.g. The child sat beside the mother.

and National Medals.

Rule No-3: Between and Among
Between - when referring to one-to-one relationships.
Among - when referring to indistinct or nonspecific relationships.
E.g. He had to choose among a bicycle, a train set, a pair of sneakers,
and a new backpack for his birthday present.
He had to choose between right and wrong.
Rule No-4: During and For
During is used when we are talking about the time within which something
happens. For is used when we are talking about how long something lasts.
E.g. There were few incidents of irregularity for the Kumbh Mela.
Martha kept waiting for her son during five years.
