What is Cold booting?
Cold Booting or Hard Boot is the process of booting a computer
from a completely powered-off state, where the system has no
power and all components are reset.
Examples:
• Shutting down a computer and restarting it from a completely
powered-off state.
• Using the power button to turn off a computer and then turning it
back on.
What is Hot Booting?
Warm Booting or Soft Boot, on the other hand, is the process of
restarting a computer that is already powered on, without
completely turning it off.
Examples:
• Restarting a computer after an upgrade or software installation
without shutting it down completely.
• Using the “Restart” or “Reset” option in an operating system or
