Attention!

The HDD (hard disk drive) will be formatted, please


back up data before the kernel file upgrade.

1. Copy the right Adata and Asecure files into the Bootable
USB disk “update” folder.

2. Use an external USB port keyboard connect with the target
unit USB port (rear cover USB port or front cover USB
port),

3. Plug the bootable USB disk into the target unit USB port
(rear cover USB port or front cover USB port), then
Press power button and boot up the system.

4. When the unit boot up, at the same time, hold the external
keyboard Delete key, when the monitor show us below
interface, input password “service” and press enter key,
the system will enter the BIOS interface.

Press “up”, “down”, “left” and “right” key  choose the
option;
Press “Enter” key  enter the option;
Press “ESC” key  Exit the option (back to the last page).

6. The upgrade program will run automatically.


Wait till a prompt message appear.

7. Now we input “forcekill” and press Enter key to
continue (external keyboard).

to shut down the system.

9. After system shut down, remove the USB disk and USB
keyboard.

10. Press power on key boot up the system, and then software
will be installed automatically.
When the system reboot, the
screen will show blue
interface like left image, this
mean the software is
installing, and when it is
finished, system will reboot by
itself, during this time, we just
need to wait.

When the Exam

1. Boot up the S40 unit to the EXAM interface.

2. Press TP key long time then the touch panel will


show us like below right image.

3. Copy the software into an empty USB disk root


directory.

4. Plug the USB disk to the touch panel left side USB
port. Then the touch panel will show us USB icon.

5. Use your finger click touch panel “system update”

Then wait… not do any other operation for the unit.

Wait about five minutes.

Finished, Restart!
Then exit and reboot
the S40.

6. Boot up the S40 to the EXAM interface.

7. Press TP key long time then the touch panel will


show us like below right image, and click Touch

Click the Cross icon and finish the adjust;

Then exit to the probe choose interface, and you can


use your unit now.

1. Boot up the PC then put the Bootable DVD disk into the
PC DVD writer;

2. Shut down the PC and plug the empty USB driver in to


PC USB port;

3. Reboot the PC;

4. Enter the PC BIOS and choose the PC boot up from the


CD;

6. Waiting, when screen show us “Press enter key to


shutdown:” , press “enter” key to shut down your PC.

7. After PC shut down, remove the USB drive.

8. Boot up the PC, and remove the Bootable CD disk.

a. There are three folders and four files in the bootable


USB disk root directly;
b. the size of bootable USB disk 13.6v: 1.86 GB
