Beginning of the War


• When the First world war happened
Germany lost the battle. German gave
all of his territory to France and Britain.
• The treaty of the Versailles affected the
Germany very harshly.
• Germany was desperately to regain its
former power.
• In 1939 German hopes of regaining
their old strength began to intensify
Rise of The Adolf
Hitler
• Adolf Hitler was an Austrian born German
Politician.
• Hitler took up political work in Munich in
may-June 1919
• He rose to power as leader of Nazis party
becoming the chancellor in 1933 and then
taking the title of Fuhrer und Reichskanzler
in 1934.
• Joseph Goebbels was his minister of the
Third Reich.
• Adolf Hitler Nazis killed six million of jews
and millions of other during the Holocaust.
Start of War
1939
• German demand for the
return of danzig and the

France had guaranteed

naval base at pearl Harbor.

German retaliation.
 On 11 December Germany
declared War on the USA
1942
 Russia made a remarkable recovery and in November Germany and her allies
attacking stalingard were cut out off by a massive soviet encirclement
 In November 1942 at Alamein a Predominantly Italian force was defeated by
Montgomery
 In June America attacked The Japanese naval. In this attack they destroyed their
four Aircraft carriers and a heavy cruiser named Mikuma.
 A landing combined American British landing in Morocco and Algeria in November .
1943
 German Forces Finally Surrender to Russia in Stalingrad in January.
 German and Italian Forces surrender to the Allied Forces in Tunisia.
 German launched a Massive tank attack near Kursk in Russia but Russia defeated
them and began to offensive.
 Allied Forces mount the invasion in Sicily then Italy. Italy sued an armistice in
September 1943
1944

 The D-Day invasion, also known as OVERLORD, involved the largest


amphibious invasion in military history, when more than 150,000
Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, France.
 Soviet drove the German army out of the ussr and began an attack
in Eastern Europe.
 The US Fifteenth Air Force flew its first shuttle mission to Russia,
bombing Debreczen, Hungary and then flying to Poltava.
1945
 German Forces fully unconditional surrendered to Allied forces in May 7 1945
 Hitler Died By suicide and his troops burned his body.
 America Drop the atomic Bomb in Hiroshima and Nagashaki
 Soviet forces destroyed the Japanese army in Manchuria.
 Japanese Forces Fully Surrender in September 2 1945.
