Demonstration on
“Number facts- Addition and
Subtractions”
Resource Person: Tasmia Afnan
What is number fact?
• Number facts are simple calculations with two numbers.
They could be addition, subtraction, multiplication or
division.
• Sometimes these can be called fact families.
• Number bonds (like 3 + 7 = 10, or 9 - 4 = 5) are also called
number facts.
Objectives
At the end of the lesson the learners will be able
to:
•Strengthen their mental maths skills by
knowing the order fact (1+1=2, 1+2=3, 1+4=5)
and pair fact (2+3 = 5, 3+2 = 5).
•Apply the method to solve simple addition and
subtraction sums.
