FIRST AID KIT
• A first-aid kit contains emergency supplies and
medication for unexpected minor illnesses or accidents
such as
• Cuts and grazes
• Injury / wound
• Burn and scalds
• Insect bites
• Pain relievers
• Electric shock
• Foreign object in eye / ear

• It should be placed at a strategic location


for easy access.

• Everyone should keep a first-aid kit in the


home or car, or take one with them on
holiday in case of emergencies.
FIRST AID KIT

• Always read the label to check who can take the


medicines in your first-aid kit, and at what dose
Medicines suitable for adults are not always suitable
for children as well
FIRST AID KIT
THE ESSENTIALS:
• First Aid Manual (clearly explains how to handle
basic problems),
• Basic Bandages (assorted adhesive bandages,
athletic tape, moleskin)
• Basic Drugs/Lotions (aspirin, antiseptic, antacid
tablets, antibiotic, alchohol)
• Basic First Aid Tools (tweezers, small mirror,
razor blade)
FIRST AID KIT
• CPR Shield
• triangular bandage
• gauze pads
• first aid/burn cream packets
• forceps and scissors
USAGE
• MEDICATED OIL
USAGE: Temporary relief of the minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with
arthritis, strain and bruises.

• SOLUBLE TABLETS
USAGE: For the relief of headache, toothache, period pains, rheumatic pain, lumbago and
sciatica
• ABSORBENT COTTON WOOL
USAGE: Strains, sprains, cut grazes and burn.

• GAUZE SWAB
USAGE: Medium size injury on hand, foot and head.

• WRINKLED COTTON CREPE BANDAGE


USAGE: Fracture or dislocation. Strains and sprains.

• W.O.W BANDAGE
USAGE: Bites, cut, grazes and infected wound.
THE EXTRAS
• Additional Bandages (gauze pads, ace bandages,
butterfly bandages)
• Additional Drugs/Lotions (burn ointment, skin
lotion, Caladryl)
• Additional First Aid Tools (sling, basic splint, instant
ice pack)
• blanket (stored nearby)
• list of emergency phone numbers
RECOMMENDATION
• 60 adhesive strips,
• 1 roll of adhesive tape,
• 7 gauze pads,
• 2 eye pads,
• 1 large wound pad,
• 3 iodine prep pads,
• 3 sting relief pads,
• 12 alcohol prep pads,
• 1 oz. eye flush,
RECOMMENDATION
• 6 first aid/burn cream packets
• 1 forceps,
• 1 scissors,
• 1 first aid instruction packet,
• 1 cold pack,
• 1 triangular bandage
• 1 major wound bandage and compress.
• Plastic case
PRECAUTIONS
• Read the entire first-aid manual so you'll
understand how to use the contents of your kits.
• Store first-aid kits in places that are out of
children's reach but easily accessible for adults.
• Check the kits regularly. Replace missing items or
medicines that may have expired.
