typhoid merupakan suatu penyakit infeksi

yang disebabkan oleh bakteri usus halus
Salmonella typhi dengan ditandai panas
berkepanjanga dan dapat pula
menyebabkan gangguan pada saluran
pencernaan serta gangguan kesadaran,
yang dapat menular melalui oral, fekal,
makanan dan minuman yang
terkontaminasi.

Pencernaan makanan adalah proses mengubah makanan, dari ukuran besar

menjadi ukuran yang kecil dan halus. Proses tersebut juga meliputi
pemecahan molekul makanan yang kompleks menjadi molekul yang lebih
sederhana dengan bantuan enzim dan organ-organ pencernaan. Zat
makanan yang sudah dicerna akan diserap oleh tubuh. Proses pencernaan
makanan pada tubuh manusia dapat dibedakan atas dua macam, yaitu :

b. b. Proses pencernaan kimiawi

Typhoid disebabkan oleh infeksi kuman Salmonella
thyposa/Eberthela thyposa yang merupakan mikroorganisme
pathogen yang berada di jaringan limfatik usus halus, hati, limpa,
dan aliran darah yang terinfeksi.

gejala – gejala klinis sebagai berikut :

 Demam
 Gangguan pada saluran pencernaan
 Gangguan kesadaran
