Global warming:
What is Global Warming?

Definition:
Global warming is the gradual increase in Earth's average surface temperature, largely due to the release of
greenhouse gases from human activities such as burning fossil fuels, deforestation, and large-scale
agriculture.

Explanation:

The sun’s energy reaches Earth and is either reflected or absorbed.

Earth radiates heat back into space, but greenhouse gases trap some of this heat.
This trapped heat causes the atmosphere to warm — a phenomenon known as the greenhouse effect.

Greenhouse Gases:

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) – fossil fuels, deforestation.

Methane (CH₄) – livestock, landfills, gas leaks.
Nitrous oxide (N₂O) – fertilizers, fossil fuel combustion.
Fluorinated gases – industrial processes.
FACTS!
Did you know...…that if Earth warms by
just 3°C, parts of the planet could become
uninhabitable for humans — with
temperatures exceeding what the human
body can survive?

The scary truth:
Humans emit over 50 billion tons of greenhouse gases
every year — that's like dropping 10,000 Great
Pyramids of Giza worth of pollution into the sky every
12 months.
And CO₂ stays in the atmosphere for up to 1,000 years,
heating the planet long after we're gone.
What You Can Do to
Help
Individual Actions:
 Reduce energy use: Turn off lights, use efficient appliances.
 Drive less: Carpool, bike, or use public transport.
 Change your diet: Eat less red meat, buy local and seasonal foods.
 Recycle and reduce waste: Cut down on plastic and buy reusable items.
 Civic Engagement: Support leaders and policies focused on climate action.
Join or donate to climate organizations.
Educate others — share facts, host talks, or post on social media.
 The Big Idea:
Every small action adds up. If millions of people make changes, the impact
becomes enormous.
“Humans will never care about
something, until they lose it.”

—SOMEONE FAMOUS
CONCLUSION
With everyone’s help, we can slow the rising heat,
protect our forests, and clean our skies. Every
action counts no matter how small. Together, we
can build a future where nature thrives, oceans
calm, and children breathe clean air. Let’s heal the
Earth, together.
Yes, we
can solve
it.
