DEFINITION OF LESSON PLAN

 A lesson plan
is a detailed guide created by a teacher to structure a single class
session.

It outlines what will be taught, how it will be taught, and how learning
will be measured. Think of it as a roadmap for the lesson.
Factors to consider in preparing a
lesson
 Learning objectives.
These are specific goals that the teacher wants students to achieve by
the end of the lesson.

Example, if teaching a math lesson on fractions ,as objective could be


“by the end of the lesson, students will be able to add and subtract
fractions with unlike denominators”
Students' needs and abilities.

Should consider age, skills level , learning styles and any special needs
of your students. A teacher should consider all students to achieve what
he going to teach.

Example if some students are English language leaners, you may need
to include visual aids and simpler language explanation.
Curriculum Standards.

Your lesson should relying on national or local curriculum requirements


and standards.

Example, a teacher should prepare a lesson according to the need of


modern curriculum.
Content and materials.

Choose the content which are relevant and materials such as


worksheets, visuals and digital tools. A teacher should use materials and
contents from citation in a curriculum.

Example, teacher may use whiteboard and makers, printed and


worksheet.
Time management.

 Allocated time at each activity should smooth flow and full coverage
within the class period.

 Example, introductions (5 minutes).


 Teaching (20 minutes).
 Activity(5 minutes).
 Review and assessment (10).
