Case scenario 1

A nine month old female neonate immunised till 3.5


months is brought to the OPD by her parents for
vaccination. The baby has mild fever but no clinical
findings on examination. The parents have doubts about
immunization as there is past history of death of their
child at the age of 9 months, who also had fever at the
time of vaccination? The parents also want to delay the
vaccination.

How will you educate and counsel the parents ?

Case Scenario 2
Mrs A who has delivered 5 days back comes to you in
OPD with complaints of excessive crying of her 5 day old
female neonate. The baby was born via EmLSCS for fetal
bradycardia . Postnatal period was uneventful.Mother
complains her baby is always hungry due to which she
keeps on breast feeding. This has made her stressed out.
She want to know about newborn care and method of
feeding her baby. In addition she wants to know bottle
feeding shoud be given or not?
