What is Design Thinking ?
Design Thinking is a problem-solving approach that focuses on:
•Understanding users
•Challenging assumptions
•Redefining problems
•Creating innovative solutions
DESIGN THINKING PROCESS
5 STAGES of Design Thinking
1. EMPATHIZE
The Empathize stage focuses on
understanding the users and their
experiences. Techniques such as interviews,
observations, and surveys are employed to
gather insights. Understand the needs and
pain points of the user.
2. DEFINE
In the Define stage, insights from the
Empathize stage are synthesized into a
clear problem statement. This stage
aims to articulate the core issues users
face in a human-centered way.
3. IDEATE
The Ideate stage Look for alternative
ways of viewing the problem statement.
Come up with as many ideas or solutions
as possible.
4. PROTOTYPE
Prototyping involves creating tangible
representations of ideas to explore them
further. This stage allows for
experimentation, feedback, and refining of
ideas before finalization.
5. TEST
The Test stage involves evaluating
prototypes with real users to gather
feedback. Insights gained during testing
help identify necessary improvements and
refinements.Try out solutions, get feedback,
and improve
enefits of Design Thinking
1. Promotes innovation.
2. Reduces risk of failure.
3. Improves customer satisfaction.
4. Encourages collaboration.
CONCLUSION
• Design Thinking is a powerful tool for solving
complex problems. By focusing on users, it drives
meaningful innovation and problem-solving.
