SOFTWARE USED:
• Blynk App
HARDWARE USED:
• NodeMCU (ESP8266)
• Turbidity Sensor
• Voltage Sensor
• Relay Module
• Electronic Relay
• DC Gear Motor
ARDUINO UNO
(ATMEGA328P MICROCONTROLLER)

• The Arduino Uno serves as the

central control unit of the IoT-
based ocean cleaning, weather
monitoring, and boat tracking
system. It acts as the brain of the
entire setup, responsible for
collecting real-time data from
connected sensors such as the
turbidity and voltage sensors.

• Once the data is gathered, the

microcontroller processes it and
accordingly sends control signals
to actuators like relays and
motors. It also communicates
with the NodeMCU for IoT-based
data transmission.
TEMPERATURE SENSOR

• In the IoT-Based Ocean Cleaning, Weather

Monitoring, and Boat Tracking System, the
temperature sensor continuously monitors
sea surface and atmospheric temperatures
to provide real-time data essential for
assessing environmental conditions,
detecting climate changes, and supporting
accurate weather forecasts. Sensors like
the DS18B20 deliver precise readings that
help track thermal variations affecting
marine life and system performance, while
also ensuring safe operation by preventing
component overheating.
ULTRASONIC SENSOR
• In the IoT-Based Ocean Cleaning, Weather
Monitoring, and Boat Tracking System, the
ultrasonic sensor is crucial for measuring the
water level and detecting obstacles or debris
in the ocean.

• The sensor be used to monitor the height of

the water or the distance between the sensor
and the surface of the water, helping to
prevent damage to the system or boat by
identifying potential hazards.

• It assists in measuring the depth of water in

certain areas to determine the efficiency of
the cleaning process. The ultrasonic sensor
also be employed to detect the presence of
floating debris, enabling the system to target
areas with high concentrations of waste, thus
improving the overall cleaning efficiency.
GPS MODULE
• It provides precise geographical coordinates
(latitude and longitude), allowing operators to
monitor the boat’s position during ocean cleaning
and monitoring activities.

• The GPS data is essential for route planning,

ensuring that the boat follows efficient paths for
waste collection and weather monitoring.

• The GPS module enables accurate boat tracking,

which is crucial for safety, emergency response,
and ensuring that the boat doesn't drift off course.

• The GPS system also supports the integration of

data with other IoT sensors, providing a
comprehensive view of environmental conditions
in specific locations.
NODEMCU (ESP8266)

• The NodeMCU module, based on ESP8266

serves as the communication backbone of the
IoT-based ocean cleaning, weather monitoring,
and boat tracking system. It provides Wi-Fi
connectivity, enabling the system to transmit
real-time sensor data to the IoT cloud and the
Blynk mobile application.

• This wireless communication allows users to

remotely monitor water quality, power status,
and system operations from any location. The
NodeMCU also facilitates remote control of
components like motors and relays, making the
system highly interactive and user-friendly.

• Its integration ensures efficient data access,

system automation, and seamless connectivity
for smart marine monitoring and cleaning
DC GEAR MOTOR

• The DC gear motor is a key mechanical component of the IoT-based

ocean cleaning, weather monitoring, and boat tracking system. It is
responsible for powering the cleaning mechanism, such as a conveyor
belt or net system, that collects floating debris and waste from the
surface of the ocean.

• The motor provides the necessary torque and controlled motion

required for the automated operation of the cleaning process.

• Its integration ensures that the system effectively remove pollutants

from targeted areas, based on sensor data. By enabling continuous
and efficient mechanical movement, the DC gear motor plays a vital
role in maintaining ocean cleanliness.
POWER SUPPLY
• The power supply is a critical
component of the IoT-based ocean
cleaning and monitoring system.

• It provides the necessary electrical

energy to all parts of the system,
including the Arduino Uno
microcontroller, various sensors,
relays, and the DC gear motor. In
marine environments where external
power sources are not readily
available, a reliable power supply
ensures continuous and
uninterrupted operation.

• This is essential for the system's

performance, especially when
deployed in remote oceanic locations
for extended periods.
