ABOUT TARANA ENERGY
LIMITED
• Tarana Energy Limited was founded in 2019, but
its roots can be traced back to Clark point, a
company that specialized in house electrical
wiring, inverter installation, and solar installation.
• Tarana Energy Limited is a solar panel installation,
maintenance, and repair company based in
Nigeria.
• They specialize in designing and constructing Solar
Photovoltaic Hybrid Systems.
• After Clark point went down in 2015, Nature
Grid was started by the same management and
employees from 2015 to 2018 before Tarana Energy
Limited was formed.
• Tarana Energy Limited has a total of about 20 staff
members, all of whom are highly trained and
experienced in their respective fields.

PV RACKING SYSTEM
• To create a racking system for the PV
array, the materials used are rails,
splice, mid clamp, end clamp, flash
band, L foot and tapping screw.
• The necessary tools are a slide
grinder, impact drills, hack saw, and
measuring tape. The first step is to
measure the rails based on the width
of the panel, the nature of the roof,
and the number of panels to be
mounted on the roof whether in
series or in parallel. The second step
is to cut the rails using a slide grinder
and join them using tapping screws
and a splice to hold them together
TAKING PANELS UP THE
ROOF
• Taking solar panels up to the roof can be a challenging task, but
with the right tools and techniques, it can be done safely and
efficiently. One common method for taking panels up to the roof is
to use a suction cup tied to a rope.
• The first step in taking panels up to the roof is to ensure that the
suction cup is securely attached to the panel. This is typically
done by placing the suction cup on the back of the panel and then
applying pressure until the suction cup adheres to the surface.
Once the suction cup is securely attached to the panel, it can be
tied to a rope.
• The rope used to drag the panels up to the roof should be strong
enough to support the weight of the panels and the suction cup. It
is important to ensure that the rope is securely tied to the suction
cup and that there is enough slack in the rope to allow the panels
to be dragged up to the roof.
• When dragging the panels up to the roof, it is important to do so
slowly and carefully to avoid damaging the panels or the roof. It
may be necessary to have multiple people working together to
ensure that the panels are lifted and dragged up to the
11 roof safely
and efficiently.
ENEGRY READING
• Before installing a PV array system, it is paramount to know the
energy consumption of the building. Therefore, an energy reading
is needed.
• An energy consumption reading of a building shows the total
power consumed by the building over a certain period of time, the
real and apparent power, the total energy, the duration of reading.
•
• This reading will determine what the PV system setup will look
like. It will determine the wattage and number of panels, the
number of batteries to be used. It is also what helps to give the
quotation to a customer.
• Determining the PV system setup based on the energy
consumption reading, including the wattage and number of panels
and batteries required.
• Using the energy consumption reading to provide a quotation to
the customer

CHALLENGES FACED
• High initial costs: The high initial costs
High initial associated with setting up a solar energy company
Costs can be a significant barrier to entry for new and
smaller companies. The cost of acquiring land,
purchasing equipment, and installation can be
substantial, and financing can be difficult to
secure.
• Weather variability: Solar energy production is
dependent on weather conditions, such as the
amount of sunlight received. This can lead to
variability in energy production, which can impact
the reliability of the energy supply.

CONCLUSION
CONCLUSION
• At the end of my training, I came to realize that it is
important for everyone to have a knowledge about
solar and renewable energy. It is a wonderful study
which requires more growth as it is uprising in the
world today. Many countries have turned to
renewable energy that I solar energy for power
generation and it has proven effective so far.
