2.OBJECTIVE
1. To Propose a novel approach for Pansharpening using a Guided
Image Filter and a Modified Adaptive Intensity-Hue-Saturation
method.
2. To Apply the Proposed method to various Satellite data sets and
compare its Performance with existing methods in terms of Visual
quality and Objective indicators.

3.ABSTRACT
High Spatial resolution Multispectral (HMS) images are essential
for analyzing potential disasters in the living environment.
However, an original multispectral (MS) image has low-space
resolution and high-spectrum resolution. Pansharpening aims at
obtaining the HMS image by retaining the spectrum of the MS
image and injecting details of the PAN image simultaneously. In this
paper, we propose a novel approach for pansharpening using the
guided image filter and a modified adaptive intensity-hue-saturation
method. The proposed method consists of two stages: the first stage
involves the use of a guided image filter to extract the high-
frequency components of the MS and PAN images. The second
stage involves the use of a modified adaptive intensity-hue
saturation method to generate the HFC of intensity. The proposed
method is applied to various satellite data sets and performs better
than existing methods.

4.PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
• Satellite Sensors cannot provide both High space and Spectral
resolution images simultaneously due to limitations when extracting
different portions of the electromagnetic spectrum.
• This project aims to address this issue by proposing a novel approach
for Pansharpening.
