Seperating Mixture
QUARTER 1 WEEK 8
Sharing of
assignment
Let’s continue the
enrichment of our lesson
about the benefits of
separating mixture
Mixtures can be separated using a
variety of techniques. In school, there
are some form of separating waste.
Others may have a bin for paper,
cardboard and plastics. Even your
classroom should have some form of
waste segregation.
Segregations have two types:
1. Biodegradable – waste or garbage that can be
broken down or decomposed
2. Non-biodegradable – wastes or garbage that
cannot be broken down or decomposed.
But how important is it
to put the right waste
in the right bins?
Write the labels of the trash
to either the biodegradable
or non-biodegradable labels.
Biodegradable Non-
Biodegradable
1. Box 5. food left over
2. Egg shell 6. Mineral Bottles
3. Dried leaves 7. Plastic cover
4. Tin cans 8. Fruits
In your own words, discuss the
activities of waste segregation in
our school.
Enumerate the benefits of wastes
segregation in school.
I can show proper waste
segregation by _____________
Write YES or NO on the benefits of
separating techniques in school.
1. Students in school can distinguish biodegradable
from non-biodegradable
2. Dry waste includes wood and related products,
metals and glass can generate income.
3. Proper waste disposal is one of the benefits in
school.
4. Recyclable materials can be a source of income
from others.
5. Bin for paper, cardboard, and plastics in the
classroom should have some form of waste
segregation.
Interview one of your neighbors on
how they segregate their waste.
Write the responses of your
interviewee in your notebook
together with their signature.
