In Race Across the World, ten people compete to travel across
parts of the world in the fastest time. They can go by train, ferry,
coach or taxi, but they can't board a plane. To make things more
difficult, the travellers have a limited amount of money for the
journey and a small bag for their luggage. It's important that they
don't miss any trains or are delayed in long queues at security.
In the first series, they leave London and cross Europe, then Asia,
to get to their final destination — Singapore.
The second series takes place in Latin America. The teams leave
Mexico City and try to reach the far south of Argentina. The
travellers call this trip the 'End of the World' because of its
location. There are spectacular mountains and incredible wildlife
to see.
