1.Political maps-A Political map shows us the national boundaries of a country. We
can find out the size of different continents and countries from a political map as well
as their names and capitals. Political maps also help us locate and find distance
between different places if we want to visit them.
2.Physical map-A Physical map shows the physical or natural features of the earth
such as lakes, rivers, forests, mountains, deserts. We can find out the natural
features of different continents or countries from the map with the help of different
colors. Brown is used to mark mountains, green for plains and blue for different
waterbodies such as rivers and oceans.
3.Thematic map-A Thematic map focuses on a particular theme or topic and gives
information related to the theme.
Example-A weather map showing only the weather conditions of a place, a park map
showing the different areas of a park or a road map.
Create a comparison chart between physical, political, and thematic maps.
