The costumes suggest that they have been ‘go-karting’, this is reinforced by the use of action shots. The alternate costumes highlight the relationship that the boys have within the band. Their relaxed gestures and body positions imply that they are cool people and their helmets reinforce the karting element.  Main Image The main image is a long group shot, this is effective as it shows their costumes, poses and a reasonable area of the background. This reinforces that element of unity within the band and establishes where they are and what they are doing. The  Shocker The shocker is used as a form of advertisement. This particular shocker informs the reader of the possibility of winning something, this automatically increases interest and inclination to read on as more information can be found throughout the rest of the magazine. This shocker is in the shape of an arrow suggesting that the reader needs to go somewhere to find out more, the words ‘WIN!’ are in block capitals standing out in white. The use of the exclamation mark adds an element of assertiveness and authority.  1 column situated to the far left This shows that the main focus is towards the images and produces a more aesthetical article. The font is simple and black allowing it to be easily eligible against the white background and clearly represents the written article.  Extra text in the top right This stands out slightly from the pink, white and black colour scheme as the majority of the text is yellow. A 3d effect has been put on the text to give the article a more dynamic presentation. The text hints to the reader that there are interesting this to discover within the article making the reader want to read on and keeping the readers interest.  Large heading  The large heading reflects how young and generally inexperienced the members are stating that they are ‘boy racers’. The heading is very eye catching as it is outlines in white which contrasts nicely with the main image.  The use of captions The captions introduce an element of comedy using rhetorical questions to reinforce this. The captions also give the reader extra specific information regarding that actual image.  Use of action shots The action shots add excitement to the magazine whilst giving the images depth and variety to add aesthetical interest. The action shots are situated all over the spread showing you their experience of the day more visually as opposed to in the text.
Analysis of written article 3 The article itself is basically about..... The band members of ‘McFly’ on a day out go-karting and how they enjoyed the experience.  The style of the article is....... relatively humorous yet simple, this makes for easy reading and a generally happy article.  It is written in 1 short column each of approx110-130 words This complements the images nicely giving extra information providing quotes. Yet on the other hand it doesn’t over power the images so the article still remains visual.  The use of colours complement the article because…  the colour pink has been incorporated into the colour scheme, this colour is associated with comedy and hapiness so therefore fits well will this article. The white background allows the images and text to stand out nicely overall creating a successful article.

The use of the exclamation mark adds an element of assertiveness and authority. 1 column situated to the far left This shows that the main focus is towards the images and produces a more aesthetical article. The font is simple and black allowing it to be easily eligible against the white background and clearly represents the written article. Extra text in the top right This stands out slightly from the pink, white and black colour scheme as the majority of the text is yellow. A 3d effect has been put on the text to give the article a more dynamic presentation. The text hints to the reader that there are interesting this to discover within the article making the reader want to read on and keeping the readers interest. Large heading The large heading reflects how young and generally inexperienced the members are stating that they are ‘boy racers’. The heading is very eye catching as it is outlines in white which contrasts nicely with the main image. The use of captions The captions introduce an element of comedy using rhetorical questions to reinforce this. The captions also give the reader extra specific information regarding that actual image. Use of action shots The action shots add excitement to the magazine whilst giving the images depth and variety to add aesthetical interest.   • 6. Analysis of written article 3 The article itself is basically about..... The band members of ‘McFly’ on a day out go-karting and how they enjoyed the experience. The style of the article is....... relatively humorous yet simple, this makes for easy reading and a generally happy article. It is written in 1 short column each of approx110-130 words This complements the images nicely giving extra information providing quotes. Yet on the other hand it doesn’t over power the images so the article still remains visual. The use of colours complement the article because… the colour pink has been incorporated into the colour scheme, this colour is associated with comedy and hapiness so therefore fits well will this article. The white background allows the images and text to stand out nicely overall creating a successful article.
