Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised down the shore in south Jersey, this half-indigenous, half-Italian gal first stepped foot in a classroom on her fifth birthday—an orientation to meet the kindergarten teacher and teacher's aide and classmates. Since that day on August 26, 1989, I knew I wanted to become a teacher.
