- 3. The first campus library was housed in a large room on the first floor of Biddle Hall, the University’s first administrative building. The library contained 2,500 books, some newspapers and some magazines donated by scholarly ministers. The Carnegie Library was built in 1911 at a cost of $15,000 and continued to improve with more renovations in 1955.

- 8. Organize and prepare the content of the library’s web site to be published in accordance with the University’s web development policy. Develop online instructional materials to be used in the information literacy program/instruction. Assess compliance of information literacy program in accordance with ACRL standards. Serve on the institutional Web Development, and Library Technology committees. Plan and supervise the implementation of digitization projects in cooperation with library and archives staff. Prepare and maintain records/statistics relative to use of online materials. Serve as a liaison to the Computer Science, Engineering, and Physics departments to enhance collection development efforts, interdepartmental cooperation and the promotion of library services.

In most profession are afraid of cases, anything involving technology, but it’s essential technology is an iterative to an information process, and you can’t be professional, and that’s what afraid to break something librarians are. You must along the way to a solution. embrace technology or you will be left behind. Just dig your heels in, get a book or manual, and teach yourself.
