My vision is to bridge the gap between business needs for automation-digitalization and the wave of innovation rising from computer vision and visual machine learning. I strongly believe that the advancements from the research community can bring business and societal value, if developed with consideration for privacy, bias and long-term development.
In the two years I have been a managing partner of VisageCloud and an active member of the AI community, my perspective has shifted from seeing machine learning as a way to deliver incremental business improvements to considering that commoditised intelligence (in both machines and humans) will drive a paradigm shift in business.
