The KJ method is a creative problem solving methodology that involves 5 steps: 1) writing labels related to the problem, 2) grouping related labels, 3) naming each group, 4) making a chart with the groups, and 5) explaining the chart verbally. The benefits are that it helps prioritize problem solving by discovering top priorities, and allows for free and creative thinking by removing bias or constraints.
