iMooX - Experiences with the Austrian wide platform

iMooX is an Austrian MOOC platform that has offered 16 online courses since 2014 to over 6,700 registered users. On average, courses have 550 participants, most of whom are older than 35 and have a university entrance diploma or study graduation. 85% of participants reported satisfaction with the platform. While initial enrollment is high, completion rates are typically around 20%, challenging the perception that MOOCs have high dropout rates. iMooX aims to provide open educational resources and lifelong learning opportunities to all.
