I think of software as a craft, and try to be the best I can be in what I do. Mastery comes from deep insight developed by years of experience in trying out what works and what doesn't. I have found that automation is key as I cannot automate what I don't understand.
Lately my focus areas are software security, especially in a cloud setting, REST APIs, and DevOps.
