- 3. THE INTERNET IT’S A IMPORTANT TECHNOLOGY OF MODERN WORLD. Used to share information and communicate with the people or organization all over the world. Internet is connected by networks of telephone wires, cables and satellite.
- 4. WORLD WIDE WEB (WWW) Is commonly known as www or web. It’s a part of internet. It’s a collection of millions of pages of information. This information can include text, pictures, animations sounds and videos.
- 5. HYPERLINK The pages in www are all linked so that you can move around and access them easily. Linked together by hyperlinks. Hyperlinks are usually underlined or in a different colour. If you move your curser to this…it will change to the shape of a hand.
- 7. WEB PAGE It contains large amount of data. In the form of text, graphics and sounds.
- 8. WEBSITE It’s a collection of web pages which contains related information. Web pages are linked through hyperlinks. Moving from one website to another is known as “net surfing”.
- 9. URL Stand for uniform resource locator. Its an address of an website. Each url is unique as telephone number. E.g.: www.google.com
- 10. SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET SEARCH ENGINES Help us to search desired information from vast database. Search for text Images. Videos Maps News etc.

- 12. STEPS TO SEARCH INFORMATION ON THE INTERNET Go to http://www.Google.Com On the webpage there will be a box for you to type in a keyword. Type the keyword u are looking for. E.g: on the web page there will be an image that looks like a button and has the word ‘search’ on it.
