Existing Product
• The location of this image has been shot near
some council building, with rubbish on the stairs, a
down rail and council housing in the back ground
of the picture.
• The picture has been made in to black and white,
this has been one because the title of the
magazine is in a bright colour, so with the bright
colour of the magazine title against the black and
white photo it makes the title stand out on the
front cover.
• Some props are already in the photo such as the
man, the BMX and the man with his shopping.
There has also been a comical prop added in to
the photo, on the bottom left corner there is
barbed wire which has been adding in after the
photo had been take for effect.
• The angle of this photo has been taken at a low angle, this has been done because it
create an illusion that the BMX rider is jumping higher than he actually is.
• The audience will want to buy this magazine because of the bright illumines blue stands
out and catches your eye, this will make the audience pick up the magazine an buy it.

rails. This picture must have been shot near a road
because on the left hand side of the image there is
some traffic lights.
• This image of a BMX rider is called a action
sequenced photography, this is when multiple
photographs are taken of a moving object
however the images background does not move,
this give us the effect of a live photograph.
• Some props are already in the photo such as the
man, the BMX, the camera on it bipod, traffic
lights and the other BMX bikes behind the rail.
• The angle of this photo has been taken at a long angle, this has been done because it
allows he photographer to take an image, ad manage to fit in all the aspects which is
needed.

out and catches your eye, this will make the audience pick up the magazine an buy it.

below the drop off a cliff, with bright blue sky's
and white vibrant snow. Towards the bottom left
of the cover we can see the rich browns of the
rocky edge which is slightly coved by the thick
snow.
• The picture includes many different colours
ranging form deep navy blues, to bright illumines
yellows. The designer of this magazine has done
this so that certain aspects of the front cover
stand out, such as the magazines name/ title and
the skier.
• There are not many props including into this
photo, the only props used are the skiers
equipment and clothing. This make the image
really simple yet effective to the audience.

– All the existing products which I have researched have
multiple bright colours, this is because the magazine
company's need people to buy their product, so they
introduce bright colours which will grab the audiences
attention.

within your on work?
– I will also include bright colours for he same reason,
and I will take a action sequence photograph which
will be the front cover on my magazine.
